The Alexander Teacher Training School offers training based on a three- term year over a period of three years. According to STAT guidelines, 1600 contact hours are required in total. Each term usually consists of twelve weeks with a week's break half way through each term.

Students may start the three year training in any term, and qualification would normally be three years from the commencement of training.

The structure of the course is based on a four-day week from Tuesday to Friday, between 9.00am until 1.00pm.
